Application Engineer - IoT Systems

Detailed Description: We are in search of a talented and proactive Application Engineer specializing in IoT Systems to join our team. The Application Engineer will play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and support of IoT solutions tailored to meet our clients' specific needs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer-focused approach to ensure successful deployment and integration of IoT applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IoT technologies, along with hands-on experience in software development, system integration, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Solution Design and Development:
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and design customized IoT solutions to address their needs.
    • Develop software applications, firmware, and middleware components for IoT devices and systems.
  2. System Integration and Deployment:
    • Integrate IoT solutions with existing systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless interoperability and data exchange.
    • Deploy IoT applications in customer environments, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting as needed.
  3. Testing and Validation:
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of IoT applications, including unit tests, integration tests, and system tests.
    • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of IoT systems through rigorous testing procedures.
  4. Customer Support and Training:
    • Provide technical support to customers during the deployment and operation of IoT solutions, troubleshooting issues and resolving challenges.
    • Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate customers on the use and maintenance of IoT applications.
  5. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest IoT technologies, trends, and best practices, and apply them to enhance our solutions and offerings.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains in IoT application development and deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, system integration, or application engineering, with a focus on IoT systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of IoT architectures, protocols, and communication technologies.
  • Experience with IoT platforms, cloud services, and data analytics tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with embedded systems development, including microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators.
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa).
  • Familiarity with edge computing concepts and techniques for IoT applications.
  • Certification in IoT-related technologies or platforms is a plus.
