Senior Hardware Engineer (Embedded/IoT)

Detailed Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer (Embedded/IoT) to lead the design and development of advanced hardware solutions for embedded and IoT applications. The Senior Hardware Engineer will play a pivotal role in architecting complex systems, selecting cutting-edge components, and ensuring the robustness and performance of hardware designs. With extensive experience in hardware engineering and a deep understanding of embedded systems and IoT technologies, the Senior Engineer will drive innovation, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver industry-leading hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Hardware Architecture and Design:
    • Lead the architectural design of hardware solutions for embedded and IoT applications, defining system requirements, component selection, and interface specifications.
    • Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and design documentation using advanced CAD tools, ensuring adherence to best practices and design standards.
  2. Component Selection and Evaluation:
    • Select and evaluate components, including microcontrollers, sensors, communication modules, and power management ICs, to meet project requirements and performance targets.
    • Conduct thorough analysis, simulation, and testing of selected components to ensure reliability, compatibility, and compliance with industry standards.
  3. Prototype Development and Testing:
    • Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and testing of hardware prototypes, collaborating with technicians and engineers to validate designs and verify functionality.
    • Conduct rigorous testing, including functional testing, signal integrity analysis, and environmental testing, to ensure robustness and reliability of hardware designs.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with firmware/software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align hardware design with project goals, customer requirements, and market trends.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to interdisciplinary teams, fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
  5. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance hardware design processes, methodologies, and tools, leveraging emerging technologies and industry best practices.
    • Stay abreast of advancements in embedded systems, IoT technologies, and hardware engineering techniques, integrating them into project strategies and roadmaps.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in hardware engineering, embedded systems design, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering complex hardware solutions for embedded and IoT applications.
  • Expertise in hardware design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad, or similar.
  • In-depth knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis.
  • Strong understanding of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures, communication protocols, and low-power design techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee) and RF design principles.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and certifications for hardware design and testing (CE, FCC, UL, etc.).
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with experience leading hardware development projects from concept to production.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
