Technical Lead - Networking (L2-L3 Protocols)

Role Description:

As a Technical Lead - Networking (L2-L3 Protocols), you will play a crucial role in designing, testing, and maintaining network protocols at the data link layer and network layer. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless communication within networks, focusing on the efficient transmission of data packets and network routing.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement networking solutions using Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, including Ethernet, VLAN, IP, and ICMP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Configure and deploy network infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

Technical Skills (Must Have):

• Proficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, such as Ethernet, VLAN, IP, and ICMP.
• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Ability to analyze network performance and optimize network configurations for efficiency and reliability.
  

Technical Skills (Nice To Have):

• Familiarity with Layer 4 to Layer 7 protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL).
• Knowledge of network virtualization technologies, such as SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization).
• Experience with network automation and scripting using tools like Python or Ansible.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, or PRTG.
  

Qualification:

• 5-7 years of relevant work experience in networking.
• B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech or MCA degree from a reputed university, preferably in computer science or a related field.
